I seriously have no idea how it’s already Thanksgiving. I feel like I just taught my last SUP Yoga class of the season yesterday, and in just a few days we’ll be saying grace, giving thanks, and gobbling up turkey. Speaking of which, that turkey can totally monopolize your oven on Thanksgiving Day when you’re trying to get so many other parts of the meal done too. That’s why I reached out to my dietitian friends to get their best no oven Thanksgiving recipes.
No Oven Thanksgiving Recipes
When it comes to a huge meal like Thanksgiving, the biggest challenge is getting everything on the table at the same time and at the appropriate temperatures. A turkey taking up tons of space in your oven can create a challenge for getting any other oven-dependent recipes done. That’s where you have a few options:
- Use other appliances like stovetop, convection oven, microwave, slow cooker, and Instant Pot
- Put your guests in charge of the oven recipes and have them bring the dishes to dinner
- Put two ovens in your house (most of my Italian relatives have this, absolutely no one my age does)
- Find some no-bake options
